The big, stunning news over the weekend was that truly independent filmmaker Sean Baker won the freeking Palme d’Or at Cannes! Amazing. It’s always a great feeling when a good person, solid, indie voiced filmmaker and someone Hammer to Nail has supported since go hits big. His film Anora snared him the prize via a jury headed by Greta Gerwig, another indie film stalwart turned big time.

The award got me thinking about Sean’s prolific output and I looked him up on this here site. The results were many so, please take a look at some reviews and interviews from pretty much every film Sean has made to date. All of us here at Hammer to Nail are so stoked for you and can’t wait to see Anora.
