ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER Trailer: Leonardo DiCaprio Stars in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Revolutionary Epic

Leonardo DiCaprio in Paul Thomas Anderson's ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER

After nearly two decades of making cinematic, boundary-pushing period pieces, Paul Thomas Anderson is coming back to the present day with an explosive political satire.

One Battle After Another, Anderson’s tenth feature, stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a former civil rights activist living a life on the lam with his daughter (breakout star Chase Infiniti). When Sean Penn’s white supremacist soldier comes knocking, he is forced to go on the run back to his gun-totting days. Also starring are Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Licorice Pizza alum Alana Haim, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, and Shayna McHale.

The film is said to be loosely based on Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland. While that novel was set in the Reagan era, Anderson has shifted the film’s setting to the modern day. It is his biggest project yet, with a budget reportedly between $115 million – $140 million. Shot on 35mm film using VistaVision cameras, it will also have an IMAX release from Warner Bros, who has set the release in theaters for September 26.
